My approach is to cycle through periods of high protein intake and moderate to low protein intake to manage both.
There are definitely benefits to having lots of protein and there are also benefits to low protein intake.
If I'm doing a lot of strength training, I'll have lots of protein. If I'm doing more cardio based movement and/or resting, I'll cut down on my protein.
It's an interesting topic, and probably something I should actually look into more!
