Yes, I definitely aim for a calm and grounded start to my day. While there are loads of benefits to getting up and going right away, with intense exercise and a cold shower for example, I like to start slow and take the time to enjoy the morning.

I think the key is to find what will make you most motivated, especially if you're not a morning person. Find something that will make you excited to start your morning routine. For me, it's a cup of good coffee with a good book. I'm excited to get out of bed for that. Then, I do the other things - like movement and more cognitively demanding tasks. Starting with the fun stuff gives me the energy I need.
