Yes, I highly recommend starting meditation!

The Headspace app is a great place to start, because it has so many resources and walks you through it as a complete beginner. It covers all the fundamental techniques.

I use the Waking Up app, but it covers a lot more complicated techniques, so it's good to have a solid foundation behind your first.

Apps are helpful because they are accessible and really straightforward.

The Headspace website also has some great resources.

The Waking Up book is really good, but again, covers more complex topics.

I'd highly recommend checking out Headspace. You can do their Basics course for free.
